We decorated a gingerbread house, like always!
Kendall wrote her letter for Santa......
Jimmy got up early and made breakfast for everyone! It was all delicious!!
We had a ton of presents to open! Santa left Kendall her very own sewing machine!
The next day I made a coconut cream pie and Jimmy mastered Grilled Oysters! They were amazing!!
The first graders had been learning about map skills. So, they had a walking field trip in the neighborhood. They had to use maps, i-pads (Kendall's school is a Apple Recognized school), and i-phones to navigate to their final destination.
Then, the kids went back to school for snacks, games, & crafts at their fall party!
Kendall had a great time!! It was a super fun day!
Kendall has a short fall break in October. Since she starts back to school so much earlier than our Texas friends, this is a nice little break. So, we decided to take a rode trip to Orange Beach. Have I told you how nice it is to be living so close to the beaches? We Love it!
We went to the Shrimp Festival. It was so much fun!!!
Lunch at The Hangout!! The food was great!
Dinner at LuLu's!!
Kendall became a PRO at the wave board. She's a little fish and LOVES the water.
Kendall LOVES going to the Flora-Bama because she gets to write all over the walls. We had lunch there for the first time and the food was actually very good!
Our Hotel.... We liked that our hotel was right on the water. We just had to walk out the back door each morning!
The wind was really bad our last day there. The water wasn't safe to get in. So, we spent the morning playing in the sand!
Back to The Hangout for lunch!
The Hangout has this HUGE wall full of wishes! You can write down a wish and add it to the tiny holes in the wall.
Kendall had 37 kids at her party! It was slightly crazy, to say the least. But, she LOVED every minute of it.
Kendall had a wonderful birthday! Thanks to everyone that came.
Kendall's growing up and becoming the sweetest, most loving, caring, considerate, & precious little girl! We're so proud of her.
We decided to head to New Orleans for a little overnight getaway. We stayed near Jackson Square this time. So, ate some great food & rode the trolley, which Kendall enjoyed!
Swimming at our hotel.....one of Kendall's favorite things about staying at a hotel!
We stopped by Margaritaville and a few other of our favorite spots! The lady at the counter gave Kendall these cool shades!! :)
Dinner at Camellia Grill! OH, so yummy!
The next day we had lunch at Mothers. I hadn't been there before. I had just always seen the line out the door. It was really yummy!!
Before heading home, we hit up Kendall's favorite park!
Kendall started dance at a different dance studio this year and she LOVES IT!!! Her teacher was a professional dancer in New York. She is super strict. But, Kendall really LOVES her & her class. So, It's great. The teacher gives out a "Dancing Dolly" to the child that really stood out, during class, that day. They get to take Dancing Dolly home for a week.
Kendall told me before class, "I HAVE to get Dancing Dolly today." I told her to not get upset if she didn't. It was her 3rd class, there are about 25 girls in her class, and some of them have been with this dance teacher/studio for a few years. BUT, to my surprise, Kendall earned the Dancing Dolly. She was beyond excited!!
We decided to make our first road trip to the beach!! It was a great trip and Kendall really got to the enjoy the water. I think we'll be making the drive again.
We drove through Biloxi and stopped by the Margaritaville Casino before it closed down.
Our Condo was super nice. We had plenty of room!
The view from our balcony! Kendall & I loved sitting on the porch each morning while Jimmy was out running.
I had to laugh......we had this HUGE condo. But, Kendall had been coughing at night. So, Jimmy slept in one of the twin beds and let Kendall & I sleep together in the huge Masterbed. His feet hung over the edge! :). He's such a good sport.
We were able to eat at Margaritaville. We sat outside and watched the boats go by. The weather was perfect!
The next day we had more fun in the water!!
Dinner at Surf Hut was so much fun. We sat outside along the sand. Kendall LOVED getting to play in the sand while waiting for our dinner to be served.
We decided to spend the weekend in New Orleans. Jimmy found this adorable little storybook park that we went to first. It was wet. But, he had a blast and Kendall LOVED it!
After the park, we walked across the street to play putt-putt. It was so much fun!!
This is the restaurant where Jimmy proposed!! It was Bella Luna before!
Dinner at Margaritaville!! Sitting in the tire swing.
The next day we went to the Aquarium & Disney Store before heading home. It was a great weekend getaway!!
Jimmy got us tickets to the MISS USA pagaent this year. We bought them very last minute. So, we didn't get the greatest of seats. But, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that we couldn't pass up. Kendall was likely the youngest one there. But, she really enjoyed it.
She enjoyed getting to see what goes into a LIVE tv performance. It was a LONG night. But, we both had a great time.
Kendall & I spent MANY of our summer days at the local water park here. It's a ton of fun!! We got season passes. So, we would get there when it opened and stay several hours until it got really crowded. It was a lot of fun!
Some cute park pictures!!
Play dates with friends!
We were celebrating Jimmy's 40th birthday. So, I made a sign. Buffett acknowledged the sign and thought it was for me. He joked around and said, "Someone needs to card her." Then, he told me Happy Birthday!! It was fun. The concert was recorded. So, we got to watch it all again on the internet. So Fun!!!
