I can't believe our precious little girl is 2 1/2 today.
Time is flying by!! I'm thinking a Minnie Mouse party is gonna be in the works for this soon-to-be 3 year old. She's already talking about turning 3! ha!
For her special day, I took Kendall to get some Kolaches, her favorite breakfast food!! When we got there, she asked for a donut. I've bought her donuts several times in the past. But, she typically just plays with the donut and then ends up eating a Kolache instead. But, I let her get one today anyway.
She wanted a white one.......Unusual for her..... she always asks for a red one, ELMO red. But, she was excited to eat it!!
Sure enough, she took one bite, poked her finger in it 3 times, and then, ate the kolache instead! Ha!
We had a great day! We spent a lot of time outside on the swing set & then took Kendall to a local Easter Egg hunt. Then, more time in the backyard, grilling out. A great 2 1/2 B-day for this little girl!! Kendall is precious and we are enjoying & appreciate every little thing about her!! (More pictures soon to come!)
RANDOM UPDATE:
Kendall's been saying & doing such cute things lately. I have to blog about it! Plus, I have to stick these random pictures, from the last few weeks somewhere, right? Right!!
- The other night we were brushing her teeth and she said something about wanting her teeth to fall out. (We were talking about how she was growing new teeth- 2 Year Molars!). She said that "She gets Monies from Toof Fairy". It kinda caught me off guard since I've never told her that she gets money from the tooth fairy. But, knew exactly where she learned it from......."Thank You, Sesame Street!".
- This conversation led to her telling me that she was going to "Put her Monies in her Piggy Bank.". So, she talked her Daddy into giving her some money for her Piggy Bank! " Thanks Daddy!" I also told Kendall that she needed to ask the Tooth Fairy for LARGE bills when her teeth do fall out. Ha! She leaned over to her Daddy and said, "Large Bills".........Smart Girl, or what? Ha Ha!!
- She's totally learned the concept of "One More Time". When we swing, play a game, do something fun, watch a movie, etc. Everything is "One More Time"!.
- Jimmy bought a new grill. One of those really cool, Green Egg Grills. He got spoiled getting to test out Grandy's in Key West!! Anyway, Kendall asked, "What's Daddy doing?". I said, "He's playing with his new toy.". Then, she asked, "Daddy, what are you doing?". He said, I'm putting the Nest together." (It's what they call the base for the Green Egg.). Anyway, after he put it away, Kendall said, "Where'd Daddy's Nest go?". Ha! Next day- He's putting the rest of the grill together. Kendall picks up her 'Bird' and says, "Kendall's New Toy" and then pointed to her Daddy's Grill and said, "Daddy's New Toy". Ha!...........She's So Clever!!
- I'm in the process of redecorating Kendall's bedroom & bathroom. I'm just kinda bored with her old baby bedding and our beach themed bathroom. So, it's all getting a make-over!! Instead of purchasing the outrageously expensive curtains that match her bedding, I decided to make her some, AGAIN! I was getting the fabric laid out when.......guess who appeared?? That's right. My sweet little girl was trying to relive her Kindermusik days of being pulled around on the towels. She plopped her bottom down and said, "Mommy pull me!" Ha! She thought it was JOY RIDE time!! Ha!
Then, she told me, "Keys Help You!". She wanted to help. So, of course I let her......for about 2 minutes. Then, it was nap time.......when I actually made the curtains! What would this Mommy do without nap time?? Awwww!
- Picture Time = Run from Mommy! She loves this little game of "Let's see how Long Mommy will Chase me for a Picture!. "Run Fast Mommy!" Ha!
- Kendall's still being a super picky eater! URGH!! So, I was very happy to see a happy eater at breakfast!!
Since getting her to eat her fruit is such a CHORE these days, we've let her wear her special Mickey Mouse ears after she finished eating. Since Choo-Choo Express is her new favorite movie, the train horn was a big hit too!
YEP, I'm A CUTIE!!!!" I also ate really good. So, Mommy & Daddy let me have an OREO!! Her favorite!! "
- Kendall is totally obsessed with the "My backyard" since we've been adding all sorts of fun stuff back there. Everywhere we go, everyone gets to hear all about her sandbox, table, etc. I'm sure the young girl at HEB could have cared less!!
- Kendall is totally into the phase of "Let's say EVERYTHING at least 10 times even if Mommy & Daddy both acknowledge you right away." I'm not quite sure why she feels the need to tell me that Mickey Mouse says, "stand up" 400 times. But, that's the phase we're in right now!! Gotta love it! HA!
- Kendall has quickly become a HUGE fan of Mickey Mouse and all of his friends. Forget about Elmo & Sesame Street. The world, now, revolves around Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
- Speaking of Clubhouses..........Kendall got a new clubhouse for the backyard. Jimmy had unloaded the box and it was sitting in the garage for all of 5 minutes when Kendall asked a MILLION times "Where'd my clubhouse go?". She was so anxious to play with it! Poor Daddy's been ONE BUSY MAN with all of the huge things to assemble.
- Creative Cooking......(Everyone knows I don't cook, right? Ha!) But, since I have a really picky eater, I've been forced to become creative. Heart-shaped sandwich, red applesauce, and cheetos! Kendall loved it! I'm sure you'll all get to see many more creative dishes, SOON!!
